5 LinC purposes
To Reach
Our hope is to reach out to married couples whatever life
stage or state the marriage is in. We know that every couple
is in a different place than the couple next to them; however
we all desire the same thing, which is to enjoy and honor
our spouse and to understand their heart. We hope to reach
out to our UCUMC congregation, to Lifesong (our extension
campus), and beyond to our neighbors, friends and those who
may not have a connection to a church at all.
To Renew
We hope that Marriage LinC will be a place where couples
can come to renew their marriage. A place that is designed
specifically for them to get back on the same heart page
with one another. We know that marriages don’t just
happen…we have to be intentional to keep them fresh
and renewed.
To Restore
Some couples find themselves at a place in their marriage
that they never expected or planned for. The troubled couple
sometimes feels desperate, alone and stuck. We want to be
a church and ministry that offers hope to these couples and
that helps to restore broken marriages.
To reGenerate
All married couples are in relationship with other people:
whether it be extended family, friends and most importantly
to their
children. Marriage LinC hopes to grow marriages that will
positively influence people around it. As parents one of
your greatest testimonies and examples to your children
is your
marriage.
To Resource
Marriage LinC will be a place for you to find
resources for your marriage. From new and creative date-night
ideas to
great books/DVD’s. Each event will highlight resources
that we find helpful and worthy of your time.
